Literature that makes the message of salvation of Jesus Christ known to the recipients in their native language in a form they can understand, to date in 577 tribal languages of Africa, Asia, the Pacific region and South America. The ANGP mission is currently working on another 300 languages.
Our literature is fundamentally simple, aimed solely at passing on the message of the Gospel to those who do not yet know about the Christian faith. As far as possible, we avoid particular doctrines and endeavour to communicate the message of salvation in a practical way, taking into account the particular culture, customs and idioms of these tribal groups. Writings such as ‘The Heart of Man’ (Herzbüchlein), ‘Who will deliver me?’ or ‘The Two Ways’ have proved to be particularly effective.
Even in schools where there are no other books in the local tribal languages, our literature is very welcome as reading books. |
